PAPER WITH A PURPOSE
At Paper Earth, we upcycle the growing textile waste in our environment into sustainable paper, paving the way for a greener future.
-
Tree-Free Paper
Paper made from textile waste offers a sustainable alternative, preserving forests and nature
-
Unique & Long-Lasting
Offering a distinct texture and enduring quality for all uses.
-
Eco-friendly & Sustainable
100% recyclable, made without any chemicals, biodegradable and leaving no environmental footprint
How it works

Enviromental Impact
-
WASTE REDUCTION
This process helps reduce textile waste, which is a significant environmental problem, especially with the rise of fast fashion
-
RESOURCE CONSERVATION
By repurposing textiles, the demand for virgin materials (like wood) in paper-making is reduced, conserving natural resources.
-
REDUCE CO2 EMISSION
Using recycled textiles reduce the emissions of pollutants typically associated with conventional paper manufacturing, including chemicals and greenhouse gases.
-
PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY
By effectively recycling textiles into paper, we can address significant environmental challenges and enable a more sustainable circular economy.
Social Impact
Learn more-
JOB CREATION
Recycling facilities will create jobs in developing countries which are currently dumping ground for fast fashion industries
-
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Effective recycling of textile waste will alleviate environmental and health issues associated with waste accumulation
-
COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT
Enable communities to engage in sustainable practices, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and resource conservation
Addressing a 'Two-Fold Issue'
-
PAPER INDUSTRY
Learn moreDrives deforestation, consumes excessive water and energy resources, contributing to C02 and greenhouse gas emissions, harming ecosystems and biodiversity.
-
FAST FASHION INDUSTRY
Learn moreDrives massive textile waste, with millions of tons of clothing discarded annually. Most end up in landfills from India to Ghana contributing to long-term environmental damage
Impact of Paper Industry on Environment
DEFORESTATION
paper industry is estimated to cut down approximately 15 billion trees globally which accounts for 10-14% of global deforestation
GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSION
The main gas emitted during the production of paper is carbon dioxide (CO2), which is one of the main contributors to the greenhouse effect and the acceleration of climate change. For every kilogram of paper produced, 3.3 kg of CO2 is released into the atmosphere and is responsible for 2% of global industrial emissions.
WATER CONSUMPTION & POLLUTION
The paper industry consumes approximately 10 liters of water for every A4 sheet of paper produced. Annually, this amounts to about 1.5 trillion liters (or 400 billion gallons) of water globally and is a major source of water pollution, discharging large volumes of wastewater into rivers and lakes.
RECYCLING CHALELNGE
Each time paper is recycled, the fibers become shorter and weaker. This degradation limits the number of times paper can be recycled typically 5-7 cycles before it becomes unusable. Also, removing inks, dyes, and other chemicals from paper is challenging and requires a substantial amount of energy.

92M ton/year Textile Waste
The growth of textile waste has been alarming, and it is estimated to increase by around 60% by 2030

Fast Fashion Graveyards
Land fills in the third-world countries across the globe have become a dumping ground for the waste clothes

Atacama Desert in Chile
Textile waste occupies an area of 10 to 15 hectares, with piles reaching several meters in height and is continuously increasing

Ghana: Textile Waste Hub
the influx of textile waste in Ghana contributes to environmental degradation and health hazards for the communities
